GoDB Integrator
Disparate Application Integration:
Introduction:
The need today in the world of extended enterprises is to pull and consolidate data from disparate systems in distributed locations and push up-to-date critical business data from the head office to these distributed locations.
The systems used by field force, branch offices, suppliers, distributors or the retailers are usually disparate and incompatible making data exchange more complex, thereby hindering a quick and informed decision making by the top management.
The exchange of data from disparate systems to the central ERP is critical for the enterprise to take well informed decisions like price revisions, inventory management, resource planning etc.
GoDB is a Disparate Application Integration Platform for the distributed enterprise. GoDB DAI server securely and seamlessly distributes, synchronizes and consolidates business data from central databases in head offices and branch offices to distributed databases in dealer locations, retail outlets, etc. GoDB DAI platform complements existing heterogeneous & disparate systems by bridging the data divide.

GoDB DAI platform consists of two components:
- GoDB DAI Sync Agent
- GoDB DAI Server
GoDB DAI Sync Agent:
GoDB DAI sync agent is a small component that resides at the remote location that pulls and pushes data from the DAI server to the third party client applications.
The Sync agent takes care of Extract Transform and Load operations at the client (ETL). The Sync agent also takes care of receiving Application updates from the server.
GoDB DAI Server:
GoDB DAI server is a middleware that resides at the head office that receives, consolidates and collates the data from the distributed locations. This consolidated data can be used by reporting, BI and decision-making software.
Examples of data that can be pulled: sales & transactions data, accounting data, inventory status, etc.
The GoDB DAI Server also pushes data updates from the server to the distributed locations. The data pushed to the distributed locations help the enterprise in maintaining up-to-date consistent data. Examples of data that can be pushed : prices, promotions, products.
The GoDB DAI Server takes care of all the Master Data Management and distribution tasks. When the master data is updated at the server the incremental data is automatically updated to all the clients when they synchronize.
The GoDB DAI platform can also be used to distribute applications, feature enhancements, application patches etc for standarad System Management Tasks.
